The Stepping Ahead programme is a 6 week physical activity programme for children with Down Syndrome. This programme explores gross motor skills and gives the children and parents ideas for exercises and movements that can be done in the home. The aim of the programme is to improve fine and gross motor skills for children aged 4-12 years. Children are assessed for the individual needs and provided with a suitable programme of activity while also having fun, developing social skills and peer interaction which will improve self confidence and motivation.
